I’ve tried many different tools but have only found a few that I like which actually help me be a little more productive at least. I found that by setting up a task list the night before next day’s work significantly helps boos performance. This helps me focus on the tasks at hand and cuts down on social media and forum time wasting. With a clear goal on what needs to be done at by the end of the day significantly helps me and may help you too.
Tool #1 – TeuxDeux: This FREE online task manager is as simple as it gets. You have a list of Monday-Sunday and it allows you to plug in tasks for each day and mark them off. The cool thing about TeuxDeux is its ability to transfer unfinished tasks to the next day automatically if you have not completed everything from the previous day
Tool #2 – Workflowy: You can use Workflowy for random thoughts or to just organize anything and everything.
Tool#3 – DropBox: I use my Dropbox every day and can’t imagine life without it. When you signup for Dropbox you’ll get 2 gigs free up front. You can add more space by referring people.
Tool#4 – Evernote: I LOVE Evernote. They even have a mobile application you can get for Android and IOS. Evernote lets you plug in notes, clip web pages and do lots of stuff. I have used Evernote to log random ideas from bed or take pictures and log them for the stuff I want.
This is my list for now. I’ll update these tools as time passes and I find more useful tools for productivity. Enjoy.
